Merb Freezer 0.9.3 broken with merb-core MODE=rubygems

Reported by Matt Colyer | May 13th, 2008 @ 09:31 AM | in 1.0

Using rake freeze:core MODE=rubygems installs the gems under framework/gems/merb-core-0.9.3. While frozen-merb looks for the gem in framework/merb-core. I am not sure which directory is the right one.

Template init file in merb-gen adds /gems to Gem.path so gems will be loaded if directory structure under /gems is what RubyGems expect.

/framework is for people who use Merb right from Git repository without gems at all.

Do you think this should be changed? There has been a lot of discussions about freezer, /gems, /framework and frozen framework load by Rakefile. In the end people agree that things are better stay the way they are.
